Right after school got out, I started packing right away. For what, you ask? Well, about a year ago I learned of a big 8th grade school trip at my school to Washington D.C. and New York. The moment I heard about it I wanted to go desperately. With the help of my parents, I started fundraising for the trip. I ended up reaching the goal and was able to go on the trip. We left on May 28th, 2016 (so about three weeks ago from now I went on my trip). It was absolutely AMAZING! All the different sights I saw in both Washington and New York were incredible! I got to see the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, White House, Capital Building, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and much more! It was the best trip I've ever been on!
Now that I'm back from my trip, I realized I need to work on my summer reading project for my high school freshman year (I'm going to Onate, by the way). All I have to do is read any book of my choice over 150 pages, and then create a board game about the book with certain requirements. It doesn't seem too hard, actually pretty easy, but the thing is I just need to get started. I will, don't worry. That's probably what I'm going to spend most of my time doing this summer.
At the moment, I'm at Young Women in Computing 2016 High School Summer Camp (YWiC). This camp is actually where I'm blogging from. I'm excited for this camp and look forward to the activities we will do!
